You’ll be able to justify pudding with extra brandy sauce on Christmas Day after doing the Langdale Christmas Pudding 10k running race on December 3rd 2016!
The Christmas pudding 10k takes place as with all the Great Langdale Road Race clubs events from and around the beautifully stunning Langdale Valley in the true heart of the Lake District. Each year the amount of people taking part has grown due to the location, the time of the year and the fact this race has a firm fun feeling about it. The fun is injected by the organisers who encourage festive costumes and fancy dress as well as every finisher receives a Christmas pudding to take home!
There are two runs, a fun run starting at 11am for children or all ages followed by the main run which starts at 12 noon. Incidentally, parents who run with their children can easily make it back for the main run should they wish. The fee to enter the fun run is just £3 which is payable on the day. Over 500 runners are set to take part in the main race, THE winter run in the Lake District.
Along with other local businesses The Langdale Estate is one of the supporters of the Great Langdale Road Races club. The estate will be passed on the route and afterwards whether it’s for a hearty supper at Wainwright’s Inn or sampling the delicious variety of dishes at the new Stove Restaurant & Bar, the estate is well equipped to refuel all the runners. Accommodation is booking up fast at the Langdale Lake District Hotel with only a handful of rooms remaining for the weekend. Visit http://www.langdale.co.uk for accommodation availability and for their full services details.
This is sure to be a great event and a great way to take part in a fun yet scenic and well supported running race. The full details of the race can be found on the Great Langdale Road Races site http://greatlangdaleroadraces.co.uk/christmas-pudding-10k/
